Fiona

Owner & Hydrotherapist

In a past life I was an AI consultant working in Manchester. After being made redundant 4 weeks after returning from maternity leave (yikes!), I decided to ditch the day job and do something I LOVE and something my son would be proud of. Since then I’ve qualified with my Hydrotherapy qualification and, after noticing the lack of resources in Central/South Manchester, I’ve started up my own centre in Edgeley, Stockport. To say I love dogs is an understatement and it’s truly a privilege to know that I’ll be contributing to your wonderful dog’s health & wellness.

Grace

Hydrotherapist & Veterinary Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Grace! With a BSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy, I’ve always been driven by a passion for animal care. Canine hydrotherapy combines my love for dogs with the healing power of water-based therapy! Watching an animal’s progress, from injury or surgery to running and playing again, is truly the most fulfilling part of my work. I specialize in treating IVDD, working closely with pets to help them recover and regain mobility.

In my spare time you’ll usually find me snuggled on the sofa with my dogs Eric and Dexter (and Merlin the cat if he is feeling nice), playing guitar or up a climbing wall!

Gail

Local Legend and Queen of Cleanliness

You can all thank and give credit to Gail with regards to the cleanliness and maintenance of our lovely Centre. When you combine dogs with water, all types of grossness happens. Gail is always here making sure that we keep the staff, dogs and owners a safe as possible when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness. Gail’s dog is an adorable little pug called Bados who’s just as much of a legend as she is!

Rolo

The O.G. Hydrohound

Rolo is my partner in crime, original Hydrohound and official mascot. Rolo introduced me to hydrotherapy as a puppy. He had severe Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD) in his shoulder and subsequently underwent surgery at only 10 months old. Rolo’s post-op treatment meant weekly hydrotherapy sessions which led to a full and speedy recovery. Rolo will always be on-site at Hydrohounds but don’t worry, if your dog is reactive or sensitive to other dogs then Rolo will gladly snooze in his den in the office in order to ensure your pooch is as relaxed as possible.

Emily

Hydrotherapist & Veterinary Physiotherapist

Hello, I'm Emily and I'm a chartered physiotherapist (HCPC & CSP registered) and veterinary physiotherapist (ACPAT, Category A). Since I first qualified to work with people in 2018, I've worked in multiple specialist areas within the NHS, elite sport and the private sector. After COVID-19 I decided that it was time to do what I'd always wanted to do: go back to university, so I could specialise in helping animals too!

Working in partnership with HydroHounds is great because it allows me to make a difference to so many different dogs' lives - a service I wish had been available in the area many years ago, for my own beloved childhood dog to benefit from.

Klaudia

Hydrotherapist & Veterinary Physiotherapist

Hello! I'm Klaudia a fully trained Veterinary Physiotherapist (IMSc VetPhys) with additional qualifications in Canine Hydrotherapy. Throughout my education and in my practice since graduating I have seen the immense benefit Hydrotherapy can have in improving recovery and helping the animals receive the best rehabilitation they can possibly have. Over the years I have seen a huge variety of dogs draw so many benefits from Hydrotherapy and seeing the progress they make as a result is truly the most rewarding part of the job

In my spare time you'll probably find my at the stables playing with my lovely gelding or out training and competing with my fabulous little dog Vito
